Zoé Da Cruz is a student in La Rochelle University pursuing a Master’s degree in Digital Law specializing in Trusted Third Parties and Digital Security. She is completing her end-of-Master’s internship at the University of Montreal in the Laboratory of Cyber Justice. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in private law from Reims Champagne-Ardenne University. During her academic career, she has had the opportunity to complete various internships, notably at the international company Centric Software in Paris, which specializes in creating digital solutions for distributors, brands, or manufacturers. This experience has enabled her to understand contractual and confidentiality issues on an international level.
Her interests and research focus on digital technology and its impact on society, particularly intellectual property issues in the digital age. She is interested in changes to copyright law in response to new online practices, content distribution platforms, and issues surrounding the protection of creative works in a dematerialized environment. She wrote her Master’s thesis on the topic of streaming activities on Twitch as governed by French copyright law.
