Maryam Akhlaghi is a PhD candidate in law at the Université de Montréal (UdeM), specializing in intellectual property law. She is a research assistant at the Cyberjustice Laboratory. She also holds the position of teaching assistant for the Intellectual Property Law course. She holds a Master I in Public International Law from Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas as well as a Master II in Technology Law from Université Paris Nanterre.

Her research interests focus on contemporary copyright issues in the context of technological advancements and the intersection of law and emerging technologies, particularly in the field of intellectual property.
