Alicia Assayag is a legal research assistant at the Cyberjustice Laboratory. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Montreal and is currently completing her Juris Doctor (J.D.) before beginning her articling term with the Bar. During her undergraduate studies, she worked at a boutique law firm specializing in intellectual property, while also volunteering with EPBC and other non-profit organizations.
Passionate about access to justice, Alicia is also interested in intellectual property law and technology law. Her main interests focus on the legal challenges stemming from technological advances, particularly the relationship between law and emerging technologies, the adaptability of intellectual property law, and the improvement of access to justice.
