Call for papers

The ACT partnership invites doctoral and master's candidates to submit unpublished papers related to the use of artificial intelligence to increase access to justice.

Four students will be invited to participate in a panel discussion moderated by Prof. Dr. Gloria Gonzalez Fuster (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) during the conference to be held from October 4 to 6, 2022. The Cyberjustice Laboratory will cover the travel and accommodation costs for the selected candidates.

 

Submission Criteria

The paper must be related to technology law and respect the panel topic: the use of artificial intelligence to increase access to justice. It should not be an article that has already been published. The full paper of no more than three pages can be written in French or English.

All papers must be submitted as PDF files before July 11, 2022, to the following email: alexandre.lapalme@umontreal.ca.

Submitted papers will be subject to a single-blind review process.

The ACT partnership brings together a team of 52 researchers and 45 partners including the world’s leading research centers, litigants and legal professionals, as well as main users and developers of AI for justice in Canada. Unique in the field of research in artificial intelligence and cyberjustice, the ACT partnership aims to put artificial intelligence (AI) at the service of judicial actors to improve the prevention and resolution of conflicts.
