Project Presentation

The Office of Consumer Protection, in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, in line with its 2014-2018 Strategic Plan, deployed an online mediation tool in the autumn of 2016 as part of a pilot project.

This project aims to provide consumers and merchants with an additional tool to accelerate the resolution of their disputes and to promote access to justice by providing an online dispute resolution process that is simple, fast and free.

This tool is available to consumers and merchants, according to certain specific criteria. The project targets a limited number of companies such as big box stores, furniture and appliance retailers, car dealers and merchants from the building industry.
